Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy sets out the rules for using the MatoSense web platform at soil.matosense.com and connected MatoSense hardware, operated by Heisenberg Engineering Pvt. Ltd., Lalitpur, Nepal. The platform is provided free of charge to hardware customers worldwide; keeping it safe and fair for everyone is a condition of that free use.

1. You may

  • Use the platform to view, analyse, print and export soil data from devices assigned to you;
  • Share your own exported data and printed reports freely — the data from your fields is yours;
  • Use the platform for commercial farming, cooperative programmes, research and public-sector projects.

2. You may not

  • Access, or attempt to access, accounts, devices or data not assigned to you;
  • Share your login credentials, or circumvent role-based access controls;
  • Probe, scan or test the platform for vulnerabilities without our prior written permission;
  • Abuse the data-ingestion API, flood the platform with automated traffic, or interfere with service availability for others;
  • Extract, clone or misuse device API keys, or connect unauthorized hardware to the platform;
  • Reverse engineer, copy or resell the platform, or offer it as a service to third parties;
  • Misrepresent sensor readings as certified laboratory results — readings are in-field approximations, as stated in our Terms and Conditions;
  • Use the MatoSense name or logo (a registered trademark) without written permission;
  • Use the Services for any unlawful purpose.

3. Security reports

If you believe you have found a security vulnerability, please report it responsibly to help@matosense.com. We appreciate good-faith reports and will not take action against researchers who report issues responsibly and do not access other customers' data.

4. Enforcement

We may suspend or terminate platform access for violations of this policy, and may notify affected organizations or authorities where appropriate. Because platform access is free, suspension for abuse does not give rise to any refund or compensation claim; hardware warranty rights under the Refund Policy are unaffected unless the hardware itself was misused.
